*How does Camping Work?

-I'm glad you asked! It works the exact same now as it always has! In Cub Scouts, all Pack Campouts are FAMILY Campouts! This means that if your scout wants to come camping, a family member must attend as well and no Scout is permitted to stay with another Scout or Scout family. Camping is fun! Enjoy this time with your Scout now and make memories!

More Questions and Answers!

*Can Moms and Dads be leaders for both boy and girl dens?

-YES! This is what is so great about our program! We value what both Men and Women can bring to our program and feel boys and girls can learn equally from both. The only rule we have is that female dens must have at least 1 adult female present at all times.

What is Family Scouting?

We’re so excited that your family is interested in Cub Scouting!

And now that Cub Scouts is open to both girls and boys, even more youth will have access to the awesome character development and values-based leadership opportunities that Scouting provides.

Family Scouting is Awesome!

For many years Cub Scouting was only open to boys, but that didn't mean sibling sisters weren't around. Cub Scouts has always been a family program! And now that we can Welcome girls into Scouting, the events they have been "tagging along" to for years, they will now be able to earn awards and recognition for learning and doing amazing things!

Common Questions:

*Will boys and girls be mixed together during meetings?

-Yes and No. Boys and Girls will meet together during den meeting times from Kinder through 3rd grade. 4th grade (Webelos) and 5th grade (AOL scouts) will have separate boy and girl dens to help them transition into future Scouts BSA troops. All dens meet together during the Pack meetings and campouts.
